REACH OUT COLORADO

Reach Out Colorado (ROC), was founded in 2012 to meet the needs of people in the towns of Rifle and Parachute, Colorado. In 2019, Judy Brantingham's brother Thomas Jones, started to work with the ROC. The ROC does this in two main ways, the first being the Totes of Hope program and the second being their Emergency Assistance program. It provides assistance to families experiencing food insecurity. During this school year, they were able to provide about 250 bags of non-perishable items, which were distributed through school counsellors at the three elementary schools, one middle school and two Headstart pre-school programs.  The second program is Emergency Assistance for those who have hit a "bump in the road." This may include help with a rent payment, utility bills, a tank of gas, grocery card, bus ticket, etc.

MADE 4 CONNECTION

Made 4 Connection is a new organization whose mission it is to build and strengthen relationships between people. M4C was started by a dear friend Barbara Stewart, who is a TBRI® (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) Practitioner. TBRI® was designed to help parents build connections with their kids, by utilizing a trauma care model. It helps them understand the impact of trauma, connect with the child emotionally and disarm fear-based behaviors. Her vision is to see parents and children connect on deeper levels and to engage traumatic situations from a loving and caring heart.

HARAMBEE MINISTRIES

“Let’s get together and push,” is the meaning and motto of Harambee. Their mission is to encourage, support, and empower youth and their families through the power of education, leadership and discipleship. They aim to provide safer neighborhoods and opportunities for children to grow and thrive through after school performing arts program and tutoring. Their annual Christmas program draws a crowd because of its energetic and innovative style. This year it was titled, “Bethlehem”, and was written and performed by their students and staff. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the show and are excited to partner with this local Pasadena organization.

LOS ANGELES MISSION

Los Angeles Mission breaks the cycle of homelessness and poverty, by stabilizing people in a safe and spiritual environment, connecting them to solutions and walking with them on their journey. We are grateful for our partnership with an organization that is making such a difference on the streets of Los Angeles. As the problem of homelessness in LA grows, we continue to partner with the LA Mission to serve those who are broken and have little in the city we live in.

BREATH OF HEAVEN

Breath of Heaven Children’s Ministries is an international humanitarian organization that was pioneered by Ted and Judy Lawler. BOH is committed to bringing hope and a future to orphans and vulnerable children. They have built a Children’s village in Lusaka, Zambia that houses children in a family-like environment that caters for their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs. BOH has also built a school and clinic on site and is presently setting up a vocational training center. They have huge hearts to care for the orphans in Zambia and are doing amazing work!

BEARING MUCH FRUIT

Started by the Brantingham's great friends, Shane and Lara Olson, Gathering Together International has been serving and restoring communities in Asia and Africa for many years. Their heartbeat is getting people and organizations within communities to work together to bring about lasting impact and change. Currently based in Kelso on the east coast of South Africa they are actively involved in uplifting the Kelso Informal Settlement through educational programs such as homework clubs, teacher support, leadership training and community vegetable gardens. Lara’s passion for the medical field and as a nurse practitioner has also enabled her to pioneer a medical clinic. In Kwa-Zulu Natal, they also serve in Malangeni and Bhudubhudu. Further afield, they have reached into Liberia, India and the Philippines, always gathering people and bringing hope.

With the purchase of a new building, RESTORE is on their way to becoming one of the best English and Arabic teaching centers in Cairo. Their goal is to “enrich lives by cultivating communication across language and cultural boundaries through quality Arabic and English programs.”

We have the privilege of helping this dream become a reality. We are providing funding that will be used for ceilings, lighting and carpet for the 13 classrooms, making the space quieter and aesthetically pleasing for a better overall learning environment.
